Building
High Performance Teams (HPT)
Organisations
of the future will be more and more driven in their
performance quest through the use of team based
structures
and philosophy. With the onset of the knowledge economy and the
knowledge workforce, the key strategic asset is
contained
in the knowledge of the people. People operating in teams
bring about the accumulative knowledge and
insights
that can potentially help improve existing business
processes, create new business ideas and innovations and
enable
the organisation to outperform its competitors.
Our
High Performance Teams (HPT), transformation process helps
organisations build self-directed work teams that
delivers
performance results that exceeds current operating norms or
expectations. Some structures of eventual self-
directed
teams can include:
-
Self-Directed
Teams that is empowered to manage itself by setting its
own performance targets, do continuous work improvement,
involve in problem solving processes on an ongoing
basis.
-
Autonomous
Mobile Teams that are both autonomous and mobile in that
with the current changes within the business
environment, team members have to be multi-skilled and
are able to flexibly fit into the different job tasks
and job
areas eg operative staff on the production floor who
have to move from one assembly area to another regularly.
-
Adhocracy
or ad-hoc project teams who are assembled together for
specific projects with a specified time frame and
project
objectives. These team members can assemble/dissemble
easily and they bring specialised and yet diversified
skills to the project at hand.
-
Business
Innovation Teams that are very business focused and
innovative that can in effect run itself as a business
entity
within the larger organisation.
The
process of our Team Transformation involves four stages:
Team Design ; Team Process; Team Development and Team
Performance
