Leadership and People Management Course

The Leadership and People Management Course explores the important management facets such as leading strategies development and implementation, managing change in a diverse, challenging and rapidly evolving business environment. 

 

It is a dedicated programme designed to provide a leadership development roadmap for leaders and managers to keep-up-to-date with the latest trends and practices.

Lessons are conducted on weekends or weekdays

Admission criteria

Local students

  • 3 GCE ‘O’ Level passes including English OR

  • Higher Nitec in a relevant industry or equivalent OR

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, out of which 2 years should be at supervisory level OR

  • Candidates with other qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis

 

International students

  • Completed Year 12 or official completion of high school in country of origin OR

  • IB diploma OR

  • Pre-university qualifications OR

  • Other private or foreign qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis

  And

 

 English requirements

 

  • GCE 'O' Level English (minimum C6 grade) OR 

  • Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5 in Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing OR

  • IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (applicable for International students) OR

  • A pass in TVI English Admission test

Method of assessment

Each level may be assessed by any combination of written assessment, projects and oral interviews.

Programme structure - 8 Modules

Module 1: Vision Leadership For Leaders

Lead team leaders in the development of business unit strategies, operational plans and corporate governance management to meet organisational needs.

Module 2: People Change Management For Leaders

Manage change processes which includes facilitating innovation at the workplace, implementing change strategies and processes and evaluating the impact of change.

Module 3: Organisational Relationship Building For Leaders

Facilitate a culture of open communication and encourage team members to achieve a common purpose in building workplace relationships

Module 4: People Development For Leaders

Identify team leaders’ skill requirements, facilitate their learning opportunities to enhance performance and coach team leaders to help them develop their skills and gain confidence.

Module 5: People and Performance Management For Leaders

Develop and implement team plans to meet business objectives, which includes managing team performance to achieve business results and rewarding team performance.

Module 6: Personal Effectiveness For Leaders

Undertake self-assessment in relation to one’s performance and leadership style, evaluate current and future requirements of one’s work roles and maintain currency of knowledge in required areas of technical and managerial expertise.

Module 7: People and Relationship Management for Leaders

Develop a manpower resource plan and optimise the use of the workforce in a service environment, which includes evaluating the team’s performance and communicating manpower plans and changes to the workforce.

Module 8: RETSF - Applied Data Analytics

Execute data analytics metrics and measurement efforts and perform deep dive analysis to understand customer activities and behaviours across all digital platform.

Lectures, workshops, group discussions, individual activities, experiential learning.

Fees and subsidies

  1. Subsidy is subject to student’s eligibility, pending final notification from SkillsFuture Singapore

  2. Students receiving subsidy are responsible to fulfil attendance and examination requirements

  3. TVI reserves the right to bill the student the full course fee should student fail to be eligible for subsidy

  4. A  non-refundable administration fee of $53.50 (Local Students) / $214.00 (International Students) applies.

  5. All prices include 7% GST

  6. Eligible to use SkillsFuture credits to offset course fees

Upon completion the series of modules, TVI will facilitate the process of applying the full qualification for the student.
